In this crowd favorite, Celebrity chefs pit their culinary skills against one another, using Tillamook County ingredients. As in the ‘Iron Chef’ TV shows, specific ingredients available for the chefs’ use will be a mystery to them until the match begins. Chefs will prepare two or more dishes from the ingredients provided.

A team of judges rates the dishes, with points awarded for taste, creativity, presentation and appearance. Although points aren't being awarded for it, a sense of humor may influence the judges.

Saturday March 15, 2008 Chef Piet Vanden Hogan of the Pelican Pub & Brewery won his first ever Black Box Competition over Chef Lamont Hansen of the 3 Doors Down Cafe in Portland, Oregon.
